i found this chair for sale at a local place that i heard of through simply grove 's blog. i could have spent a week there but i didn't have the cash or the space in my car... but i didn't leave empty handed as you can see.
i removed the top back rest (mainly because i didn't have the tools to re-attach it properly, but i also thought it would give it a more streamlined look). i then sanded down the entire chair with a 100 grit sanding paper and primed it with kilz indoor primer.
i forgot to cover the bottom metal guards before priming it so they got half sprayed... i haven't decided what i'll do about that yet... and i think i would have changed the fabric from going east/west to north/south but i didn't even think about it... overall though i love it and i'm excited to incorporate it into my living space somehow!
. . .
and this is my coffee table that i have been meaning to decoupage for months!
i chose a fine fiber asian paper. i like that it's so delicate yet 'mod'esque at the same time. looks quite cool next to the zebra rug huh!
i didn't anticipate the white fibers disappearing but i like that it looks like i applied each circle by hand... tricky, tricky.
close up!
Looks great!!!! So glad you found something fun to get!! If you ever need more stuff from there let me know and we can go for a tour with the house owner:)
